Construction sites don't have to stay grey for the duration of the build. The 20ft Jungle is a lightweight, modular planter built to the exact footprint of a 20ft site container or cabin - pre-planted with shrubs, perennials and grasses, delivered ready to place.

The 20ft Jungle is a prefabricated, relocatable planter, designed to sit on feet fitted to the roof of a standard 20ft site container. It combines a galvanised steel frame with a perforated base plate, waterretention layer, Jungle Mix substrate, and a pre-planted standard planting mix. The unit stacks for transport and can be relocated to the next project site.

Site containers and cabins that double as temporary offices for contractors and site managers heat up fast in direct sun - exactly the kind of surface that permanent green-roof solutions never reach, because the container itself is only ever meant to be temporary.

Why it works on an active construction site
 

Greens a grey, sealed surface for the duration of the project
A construction site stays paved and exposed for as long as the build lasts. The 20ft Jungle adds greenery to that surface immediately, with no changes needed to the ground beneath it.

Moves with the project
Fitted feet for placement on the container roof, stackable for transport: when the project wraps up, the 20ft Jungle relocates to the next site rather than being demolished and replanted from scratch.

Supports local ecology 
Shrubs, perennials and grasses provide food and shelter for insects, even in locations where no other vegetation is present for the duration of construction.

Site cabins and containers used as temporary workspaces for site managers and contractors heat up quickly in summer. A planted roof breaks direct solar exposure and can help keep the space below cooler. 

Buffers rainwater in the retention layer
The wateretention layer and substrate hold back rainwater before run-off - relevant on sealed construction sites where drainage is often a constraint.
